I am a coauthor of software testing books that include "software testing book"-a bestseller in America, "Programming testing application on Web" and "global automation software testing: Discussing about software testing for leaders". These printed matters will be translated into Vietnamese and launched to public in the middle of 2009. These books are may be the first software testing ones translated into Vietnamese, and used to train staff of LogioGear in Vietnam. Currently, LogiGear Corporation is making plan to establish Training Centre of LogiGear Software Testing in Vietnam that is similar to model in America. The Centre will co-operate with universities and colleges to train software testing. We build up curriculums of software testing for lecturers.
Could you please tell more about plan of training fresh students for software testing?
The students will be trained within three months about technology of software testing, team work-skills, and working behavior in the professional environment. The students will study about theory in the first three weeks, and practice through real projects in the remaindering time. After training course, LogiGear will examine their abilities for official recruitment. Beside, LogiGear is building a 3,000m squares-facility in HCMC to meet around 500 high qualified-software testing staff at the end of this year. Besides processing high class-software testing services, LogiGear will cooperate to found software testing training centre for local software development companies, distribute to changing Vietnam into one of the key nations of software testing sector in Asia.
Can Vietnam develop software-testing service?
I suppose that human resources are strong point of software testing market in Vietnam. Most of labors are young, intelligent and inquisitive. Human resources are copious not only in HCMC but also in whole nations.
I dream of transferring the most advanced software testing technology of America to Vietnamese market.
After a period of working in Vietnam, I recognize that software-testing skill of Vietnamese youngsters is rather good. They can be masters of technology, and after being trained, they can think independently and creatively of automatically software testing.
According to research of Gartner, Vietnam is ranked tenth among leading nations in software processing.
Besides good advantage of labor cost, Vietnam also has other advantages such as education system pays attention to science and technology; politics and economy are so stable.
