Software testing has the opportunity to develop simultaneously with the increase of software outsourcing industry. Some software companies in Vietnam annually recruit 100 to 300 software testing engineers.
Vietnam International Software Testing & Automation Conference (VISTACON) 2011 will taking place on December 6 -7 at the Sheraton Hotel. The event is hosted by LogiGear and MRD
Along with the development of the outsourcing industry, the outsourcing of software testing in Vietnam also has potential. Since 2010, several of the world Information Technology groups have hired Viet Nam software companies to do software testing.
Demand for use of software testing services from foreign partners, especially test automation in Vietnam has increased. The quantity of software testing engineers in Viet Nam’s could increase upwards to more than 10,000 people in the future.
The quantity of Software Testers in Vietnam had increase but is not enough to meet the demand. The ratio of software testing engineers in Vietnam is still low compared with the world. According to international standards, the ratio of developer to tester is 3:1 but that ratio is roughly 5:1 in Viet Nam, said Mr. Denny Nguyen – LogiGear’s Director of Global Operation.
The professional testing ability of Viet Nam’s Test Engineer (Software Tester) is not high. At the same time, Vietnam software companies don’t have the ability to train the tester onsite. With the aim of providing information about the software testing industry around the world, the conference will invite the speakers from international corporations such as Mr. BJ Rollison - Test Architect (Test Architect) of Microsoft, Mr. Hans Buwalda - CTO of LogiGear Engineering America, and Mr. Sujit Shetty, Director of Strategic Solutions Oracle.
For its second anniversary, VISTACON will have the theme " Advancing The State-of-The Practice of Software Testing and Test Automation”. At the conference, there will be topics meeting the needs of technology in the IT field such as test automation and Agile Testing. In particular, it will have an area for speakers representing direct practice skills (testing).
LogiGear Corporation will continue to organize the Bug Hunting and Photo Contest of 2011 for testers and IT enthusiasts. This will be a challenging opportunity for candidates who are interested in the software testing industry.
