On this occasion, Vietnam Economy Times has an interviewed with Mr. Hung Q. Nguyen, CEO – LogiGear Corporation.
Could you please introduce about LogiGear and describe more about this partnership with University of Natural Science, Ho Chi Minh City? Can students with LCTP apply to LogiGear?
LogiGear Corporation provides global solutions for software testing, and offers public and corporate software testing training programs worldwide through LogiGear University. Established in 2005, LogiGear Vietnam has become Vietnam’s global leading software testing company by long-term investment strategy in software testing and Information Technology in general. This July, The first training series awards the LogiGear Certified Test Professional (LCTP) designation, and will be held at the Computer Science Centre of HCMC University of Science in Ho Chi Minh City in District 10 of HCMC in Fall 2009.
After getting this certification, students can apply to software testing department at any IT company. In order to apply to LogiGear, LCTP is an advantage in the recruiting process. Besides, students have to pass our English criteria in LogiGear; because all of our clients is in US, hence communication in English fluently is necessary.
How do you evaluate the IT market in general and software testing industry in particular in Viet Nam at this time?
According to Global Services Media’s report, global sourcing of IG and BPO Services Corporation, Ho Chi Minh City was ranked 4th out of the top 50 emerging global outsourcing cities in 2008; that is a good news. Although the global economy regression adversely impacts Viet Nam’s IT market in 2009, I believe that it will be recovered at the end of first quarter 2010.
Could you please share some information about LogiGear Vietnam’s next strategy?
The global economy crisis has transformed Asia’s new emerging market, becoming a highly attractive destination for investors in the high-technology industry, specifically in the software testing industry. From this perspective, LogiGear has focused on three dynamic pillars of development strategy: human resource, infrastructure, and superstructure. Human resource is always considered to be a key strategy. Hence, LogiGear Vietnam’s engineers are well-trained by professionals in programs certified by LogiGear University. Regarding to infrastructure, we have opened doors to the LogiGear Tower, located at 1A Phan Xich Long Street, Phu Nhuan District. The facility satisfies future infrastructure needs and meets the demands for a modern high-tech working environment and training. Regarding to superstructure, LogiGear Vietnam collaborates with experts in North America and global partners on research and development projects. The birth of Test Architect Next Generation validates the achievement of Vietnamese engineers.
